I'll join Michael in playing material from "The Ballad of Minton Quigley." The BEYONDO band plays @ 10 PM.
I'll join Michael in playing music from his St. Ives release, "Hotel Music"
Aside from just being there to be thoroughly entertained by Casey Shea & co., I will be accompanying Casey in a performance of "Baby It's Cold Outside" which we originally recorded for the Family Records Christmas Album last year.
I'll lend some harmonies to Ben Wagner's birthday set @ Rockwood. Chris Abad plays too!
Finally - I'm back to my own...what have I been doing? Come and hear.
I'll provide some gospel backgrounds for Judy Kuhn as she brings her interpretation of Laura Nyro's songs back to Joe's Pub! 2 nights!
I'll provide harmonies and counter-melodies for the wonderful Paul Brill
what will we do? Not sure yet, but it will be a stellar support for some new music, for sure. Stay tuned...
I am honored once again to take part in Amanda Stern's "Happy Endings" Music and Literary Series.
About the series: Chosen by New York Magazine, The Village Voice and NY Press as the best reading series in NYC, and singled out by the New York Times Magazine for helping to "Keep downtown, NY alive," The Happy Ending Series features the most interesting storytellers, writers, musicians, raconteurs and personalities, and requires the readers to take one public risk, while the the musicians, who perform two short sets with their original, lyric-driven music, are required to play one cover song and try to get the audience to sing along.
